Our Story:

Founded in January of 1954 as First Baptist Church of Marysville MI, we have enjoyed being a beacon of the Truth and Love of God in the Marysville community for over 70 years. From 2003 through 2023, we were blessed to sit under the Pastorship of Dallas G. Berry. In 2015, we officially changed our name to Gateway Church of Marysville as we are not directly affiliated with any denominational convention.

Beliefs

  • We are saved by Faith alone (sola fide) by The Grace of The Father through The Gospel by the works accomplished by Jesus Christ and are being continually nurtured by the Holy Spirit to be conformed to be like Christ in character, conviction, and conscience.
  • God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
  • But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us, made us alive with the Messiah even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace! Together with Christ Jesus He also raised us up and seated us in the heavens, so that in the coming ages He might display the immeasurable riches of His grace through His kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift— not from works, so that no one can boast. For we are His creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2: 4-10)
